Copper windings conduct better than aluminium, so the unit runs cooler, wastes less energy as heat and carries motor starting surges better at the same rating. A servo motor drives a toroidal variac to hold 230V ±1% across a 140V-270V input swing.

Air cooled and maintenance free — nothing to top up, no servicing schedule.
