Stabilizer showing Hi / Lo error, burning smell, or humming loudly

A 'Hi' (High) or 'Lo' (Low) reading on the stabilizer display means the unit is seeing input voltage outside its working range — first confirm your incoming mains voltage with a meter if possible. Before anything else, check the INPUT WIRE: it must be 6 sq mm copper (8 sq mm for heavy loads like big ACs). A thin input wire causes voltage drop under load and is the single most common cause of Hi/Lo errors and tripping — the stabilizer itself is usually fine. If the display shows Hi/Lo even with correct wiring and normal mains, or there is a BURNING SMELL, a loud abnormal hum, or the display is dead while mains is present: switch the unit off and contact MuscleGrid support — this usually needs a replacement control PCB, which our team arranges under warranty as applicable.
