Lithium battery price in India (2026)
Sourced from the official MuscleGrid manuals · updated 2026-09-07
Lithium battery price in India is decided by stored energy, not by the label on the box. Multiply voltage by amp-hours to get watt-hours: a 12V 100Ah pack holds 1.2 kWh, while a 48V 120Ah pack holds about 5.8 kWh. That is why the second costs several times the first even though both are “100-odd amp-hours”.
The number that actually lets you compare two quotes is rupees per kWh. The table below shows it for every MuscleGrid LiFePO4 pack, read from our live catalogue.

What actually moves the price
Cell grade. A+ grade prismatic cells hold their rated capacity for thousands of cycles. B-grade and repurposed cells are cheaper up front and lose capacity fast, which is why a suspiciously cheap pack is rarely a bargain over five years.
The BMS. A basic board protects against overcharge and short circuit. A smart BMS adds active balancing, Bluetooth, and CAN or RS485 so the battery can talk to your inverter. Active balancing is what keeps all cells at the same state of charge, and it is the single biggest factor in how long a pack holds full capacity.
Cycle life. Ours are rated 3,000–6,000 cycles depending on series. At one full cycle a day that is roughly 8 to 16 years, which is why lithium works out cheaper per unit of stored energy than tubular even though it costs more on day one.
Which voltage do you need?
Match the bank to your inverter’s DC input, not to your budget. A 24V inverter needs a 24V (25.6V) bank; a 48V inverter needs a 48V (51.2V) bank. The wrong voltage will not run the inverter and can damage it. If you already own the inverter, its model number decides the battery — send it to us and we will confirm before you order.
Lithium against tubular and lead-acid
LiFePO4 costs more on day one and less over the life of the battery. You can use 80–90% of the rated capacity against roughly half of a tubular battery’s, so a 100Ah lithium pack does the work of a much larger lead-acid one. It needs no water top-ups, no ventilated battery box, and holds a far flatter voltage as it discharges, so appliances see steadier power near the end of a backup.
- We manufacture these units ourselves — we are not a reseller rebadging someone else’s stock.
- BIS licensed for solar inverters (licence R-93043664, IS 16221 / IS 16169 / IS 17980).
- Warranty is handled by our own service team, with carry-in service centres in Delhi and Meerut — not a third-party repair chain.

Frequently asked questions
What is a fair price per kWh for a lithium battery in India?
Compare on rupees per kWh rather than the sticker price — the table above gives it for every pack we make. Two quotes for “100Ah” can differ threefold simply because one is 12V and the other 48V.
Does a bigger Ah number always mean a better battery?
No. Amp-hours only mean something alongside voltage. 100Ah at 12V is 1.2 kWh; 100Ah at 51.2V is 5.1 kWh — four times the stored energy from the same headline number.
How long will a LiFePO4 battery last?
3,000 to 6,000 charge cycles depending on the series. At one full cycle a day that is roughly 8 to 16 years of daily use.
Can I connect a lithium battery to my existing inverter?
If the inverter’s DC voltage matches the pack and it has a lithium charging profile, yes. Older lead-acid-only inverters may charge a lithium pack incorrectly. Send us the inverter model and we will confirm the pairing before you buy.
What warranty do MuscleGrid lithium batteries carry?
Five years, covering manufacturing defects and cell or BMS failure. Physical damage, burnt or tampered packs and damage in transit are not covered.
